- You can view and transfer images in your camera from your smartphone even when the camera is turned off. *2
- After transferring, you can immediately share your high quality images on social networks or through email.

■ Remote shooting of a camera using a smartphone
- You can capture photos/videos remotely while checking the live view of a camera on a smartphone. *3
This is convenient for capturing night views or water flowing scenes which need long-exposure, or macro shooting in which you need to avoid to directly touch the camera.
*3 Models that support PlayMemories Camera Apps can use this feature by installing "Smart Remote Control" (in-camera app) on your camera in advance.

- With cameras that have a location information linkage function, the location information acquired by the smartphone can be added to the captured image in your camera.

- Even with cameras that do not have a location information linkage function, it is possible to add location information acquired by your smartphone to the photos saved on your smartphone during remote shooting.

You can also apply a saved setting to a camera. *4

Ratings and Reviews
Full of bugs
For an application replacing a passably usable one, this is frustrating. A frustrating example is that sharing an image imported from camera doesn't work. If you try selecting an image (while hashtags are enabled), then share button and send to a WhatsApp contact, it will create a message containing some stupid hashtags and NO image! Not to mention that it tends to hang during image transfers when selecting from app even though the device is connected to camera wifi.
Of course, there is no way to report an issue.
An honest review.
An application that continuously disconnect/fail to connect to the camera on any IOS version, is a sure fail. It doesn’t matter what features it contains, if it raises your blood pressure every time you click it. And it’s getting embarrassing. While there’s a robot walking around on Mars, collecting stuff and sending analysis back to Earth, while another one flies around in almost no atmosphere, your experts cannot create a solid connection between my camera and my phone, in my room. You need new jobs.
Network Error after update iOS 13.3
This app didn’t “shine” in the past either but with this incredibly frustrating impossible to bypass error makes me hate Sony software even more.
The useless 90 degree monitor of the A6300/ A7 cameras could be bypassed by the tethering with a mobile phone (iPhone, in my case). Now, after iOS upgrade, rhe application will not start. Shows “Network Error, try again later” message - which is stupid since I tried both with disabled wifi/ 4G/ etc.
Great work Sony ! Ruined my holidays !
