This eye-care extension enables night mode, creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colors, making them high contrast and easy to read at night. It perfectly suits system dark mode.
Configure brightness and contrast to fit your display. Choose one of the beautiful colorful themes or create your own. Choose between Dynamic and Filter mode. Toggle individual websites, and auto-toggle by system dark mode preferences.
Before you install, disable similar extensions. Activate Dark Reader in Safari preferences. Enjoy watching!

Works as expected!
I'm really glad an extension like this exists, and works without any problems!
The only thing I would add as a functionality is an option to filter sites more precisely (for example google maps takes a long time to invert colors, but I'd like other google sites to be inverted).

After update 2.0
It works. I had to uninstall the extention because it wasn't working with Safari (macOS 14.0). Earlier it worked fine but there must have been some changes that affected it. Thanks for Your hard work and quick action to bring it back to life.
Works great after 2.0
Safari is my favorite browser by far but I wouldn't be able to use it without this extension. Dark Reader is a must for me. And now with 2.0 it works perfectly.
