Best ever for very cheap
First of all, it’s only 1.99$ per month LIKE THATS CRAZY! and if u think like we only get to read chapters and don’t get the editors/writers notes, starting pages,character intros, popularity polls etc., then u can go to the volume (which can be purchased as well) and go to “preview” there u can find all the things I mentioned above. And overall it’s really good and doesn’t lag or have any issues I would defined recommend it ! 😁
Good app, but really needs a UI Overhaul
As I said in the title, I really like the app, and am looking forward to the new Shonen Jump membership program, but I really feel the app needs to update or rework its UI. Parts of it, such as the Account pane, feel old and unoptimized. Also, the fact that you need to “download” before reading seems slightly annoying. I’m quite sure the images could fairly easily be “streamed” or something similar, where the pages are just stored in a temporary cache while reading, removing the delay for “downloading” and also reducing the amount of space that the app will take if and when I forget to delete older chapters.
A button to “follow” or “add to favourites” on each manga’s title page would be really useful, maybe with push notifications whenever new chapters/volumes of the followed manga are released.
Dark mode would be nice too.
Tl;dr: It is a decent app, but could be a lot better with a bit more love put into the UI, and with a few more QoL features to make it easier for readers to follow and keep up to date with the series they like.
Intense
I’ve been using this app for a few days now and I’ve been so immersed with the wide range of manga that I’ve completed more than 4 mangas in that period. Though it’s a shame that one can access only 100 chapters a day it’s still enough to keep you busy for a long time. It’s been a blast to read manga and especially demon slayer and one punch man. I would punch anyone who would say otherwise.
