TestFlight 4+

Beta testing made simple

Apple

    • Free

Description

TestFlight makes it easy to test beta versions of apps and App Clips to provide valuable feedback to developers before they release their apps on the App Store. Developers can invite testers through email or a public link.

When you test a beta app or App Clip, Apple collects and sends crash logs, usage information and any feedback you submit to the developer. The developer may use this information to improve their app and related products. Apple may use crash logs and usage information to improve our products and services.

For instructions on installation, testing and feedback submission, and for details on how your data is handled, see testflight.apple.com.

Development Releases

Have been using Testflight and PlayStore to release apps to both Google and Apple devices. Great smooth onboarding experience for testflight new apps and testers, Love the way we can see Testflight section in developer console and see who downloaded and which version. Love the feedback functionality.
In comparison to google where users have to optin to different tracks this allows us to control and aporove users in different lists then allow access at app level and roll out to the list we have.
We do miss tracks though so we can take a version directly from internal testing to Alpha or Beta and whoever is already listed in those tracks can get auto update if they opted in.

Alpha version of Met Office Weather

I’ve checked out the maps section as you requested. I have only looked at it for a few minutes but will continue to use it over the coming days.
The maps seem excellent: easy to zoom and easy to track over time. In particular, the surface pressure map is the best I have used when seeking a general indication of future trends. Clearly it is not intended for detail checks of wind direction/strength etc as would be required for flight route planning etc. But for getting general weather information it seems excellent.
I will send further comments as I continue to use the app.

Testing Berry Cherry

I’ve tested a few versions now using test flight. The good: very easy to get updates and easy to send reports back to the developers. Test Flight saves your progress and in app purchases between versions, which is necessary. It would be even better if the tester were given the an option to reinitialise the game, to facilitate testing of a players first encounter with the game.
