Getting Better, Still Not A Great App

The app is certainly getting better with each update, but is still not quite on par with other banks of a similar size. My number one complaint is how when you open the app you have to manually press a button to log in with Face ID. I mean come on! Show me one other app where you have to do this, it should automatically scan for Face ID as soon as the app is opened, and this is pretty standard these days. On a more minor aesthetic note, the app is just really dull as dishwater! On the desktop online bank you get some colour and a nice landscape shot in the background, but the app will treat you to just white screen and plain black text, not even a little splash of colour anywhere. For a bank with such ties to the artistic world like sponsoring galleries and opera, that is very strange to see. Hopefully in the future we can see the app get a makeover of sorts. Other than these gripes, it’s a very smooth and secure app.

I was content with my electronic Passcode Devices. I have been forced to use the App, and the presentation is inappropriate for me.
I have 2 devices (AUS & U.K.), but, more significantly, I used both my phone and my iPad to carry out Internet Banking. You have now forced me to use only 1 electronic device (my phone). If scammers “port” my phone not only do they have access to my banking - I do not??!!
Why did you not allow me to continue with a system that was working quite adequately? It is fine to offer some sort of “improvement” as you regard it, but, why remove my capabilities without explaining the reasoning?! Thanks, Paul

Needs improvement

I have had this app for sometime and although there has been several improvements over the years, it still remains, in my opinion, rather clunky and somewhat cumbersome.

The app appears primitive in terms of its features, certainly in comparison to other banking apps. I think, in many ways it tries to be too many things, ie, an advertising platform as well as a multi featured banking app. Detailed information about the various products are in my opinion better left for the main banking website, whereas the app should simply focus on easy to navigate banking procedures.

I would like to see the login process brought more into line with other similar apps, ie, either a four or six digit number or fingerprint recognition or both. The entering in of a Alpha numeric password seems somewhat outdated and perhaps not as secure.
