This is quite a good hotel BUT watch out We booked via Bookings.com, when we arrived we were early and had to wait a while then we were shown to our room. All was going well until I tried to watch the news on the TV. The TV didn't work, three times a technician came to the room but ten minutes latter it would stop working so the next day they changed our room. When we checked out they charged us 1250L or 38 euros for 7 capsules of coffee used in the room. I obviously didn't read the small print. I asked how many capsules of coffee were they paid each month, about 130 (700 euro)

everything was good. staff was corporated and friendly. Food quality and service were very good. the lobby ambiance is very nice. concierge service and front desk was fantastic. especially Nuri the head concierge and Emre from front desk are very talented

In the heart of Istanbul we have been at Rixos Pera and we left very satisfied thanks to Emre . Amazing hospitality by great staff and that’s why we will come back with pleasure. Highly recommended hotel. Special thanks to everyone one especially front desk team . And amazing Concierge of Istanbul Mr Nuri !!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Definitely Not 5-Star Quality

We had a thoroughly unpleasant stay at this hotel and cannot recommend it. First Room: The air conditioning was so loud that we couldn't sleep, and to make matters worse, the traffic outside was unbearable. Cars were honking non-stop morning and evening, making it impossible to rest. We requested a room change, but the staff told us the hotel was fully booked, leaving us no choice but to endure a sleepless night. Second Room: After some persistent complaints, they "miraculously" found another room for us. While the AC was quieter, the noise from the back street was even worse. We were subjected to hours of loud prayers, cars, people shouting, and even singing and screaming in the middle of the night. I recorded a video as proof to show the staff, but once again, we didn't sleep at all. I went to the reception at 3 a.m. to complain, and finally, the next morning, they offered us a "garden view" room as a last resort because we were on the verge of leaving the hotel. Third Room: This room was quieter, but the AC controller didn’t work, and the bathroom reeked of a strong, foul odour resembling cat urine. At this point, we just gave up. The hotel offered us a "free" dinner at one of their restaurants as an apology, but when we went to order, we were told that only a very limited selection of dishes was available. They should have offered a proper voucher with a specific amount to spend, but instead, we were handed a restricted meal. Frustrated, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. Breakfast: A complete letdown. The quality and selection were far below what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. The coffee was undrinkable, the pastries were of poor quality, and the toaster didn’t even work. The only decent part was the egg station, but they didn’t offer alternative milk options. While the staff was friendly, they were inefficient, even when the restaurant was relatively empty in the early morning. Room Quality: Definitely not 5-star. The furniture was old, the bathroom tiles were broken, and the TV channels didn’t work. To our surprise, they even charge $5 for a Nespresso capsule! In most high-end hotels, this is complimentary. Given that we were paying $290 a night, it felt absurd that even basic coffee wasn’t provided. Location: The location is just okay. You have to walk about 15 minutes to reach the tram or metro, and it’s all uphill or downhill. Other Issues: On Friday nights, they host live music in their pub, which is situated between the two hotel buildings. If you’re hoping for an early night, forget it—the noise is overwhelming until midnight. Overall, I truly do not understand how this hotel gets 5-star reviews. At best, it’s a 3 to 4-star property. For the price, you can easily find much better options in Istanbul. Save your money and look elsewhere. P:S: I have sent my honest feedback to Accor expecting them to acknowledge the terrible experience we went through but had no answer.
