Dhawa Ihuru ticks all the boxes for an on the beach holiday! If you want privacy, you have it, cosy villas right on the gorgeous sandy beach. If you want company, you have it, friendly island style community. If you want great snorkelling, you have it, and you have a choice of Dhawa Ihuru's reef or a complimentary 5 min boat ride to sister island Banyan Tree reef. Highly recommend booking at least one snorkelling session with Vijam to introduce you to Dhawa Ihuru's reef. If you want varied cuisine and delicious food, you have it. Henry, from sister island Banyan tree, does complimentary short reef sustainabilty snorkel sessions where you can help count the sealife fauna, or remove unwanted debris or undesirable starfish etc.. My sister had only been snorkelling a few times over the past years and she thoroughly enjoyed this. We highly commend Banyan Tree for this endeavor! And Henry is a great source of information for all things marine. But Dhawa Ihuru is fantastic because of it's great service and staff. 🤗 They also have a great Spa experience to massage away all your stress, and a gym if you really want to use up every minute.. And the people who make it so; Husham - A true gentleman and friend of our heart, happy and enjoyably humorous. Vijam - Fantastic snorkel guide, generous of spirit. Ace underwater photographer. Elena - Exceptional organiser/concierge ! Secret model! Sujeena - Sweet and kind, looks after you absolutely. Adam - Quietly spoken gentleman, attentive to your needs. Shareef - Quietly happy and helpful, always there to look after you. Pawan - Great chef and a master of Indian cuisine. Rizwan - Intelligent and humorous and kind. Arjun - Fantastic Grill chef. Asith - Culinary fruit magician! Sunil - Happy face at breakfast. Aizud - Happy and friendly. Hannane - Gentle and fun, great customer service! Nish - Bar tender extraordinaire. Rohit  - Really nice guy. Afruu- Happy and friendly. Moosa - Friendly, happy and welcolming. Always has a welcoming smile. M. Sharif - Takes time to show you flora of the island, nice! Julia - Friendly and very helpful. Mr Simaad - Interesting and fun anecdotes, pleasure to talk with. Aluth - Friendly and a great help. We spent 9 fabulous days at Dhawa on a premium all-inclusive package and enjoyed every minute. We were the only guests arriving on our flight so had a private boat transfer that left immedaietely. The warm quayside welcome was a taste of what was to come for our entire stay. The island has only 45 rooms and 1 restaurant but we were never bored. We took the 3 minute ferry ride to the sister island a few times and enjoyed drinks and a couple of meals there but we prefer the atmosphere of Dhawa. Thanks to Don in the bar at Banyan Tree. We loved our beach villa with partly outdoor bathroom. Outdoors there was a small deck with table and chairs, a swing, a shady pod as well as 2 sunloungers with cushions. So many options just for us ! My husband is a scuba diver and was disappointed there were so few divers staying but he enjoyed the dives he went on and was very impressed with the dive boat and professional crew. He also helped with the hotels reef clean up (removing crown of thorns). Well done to Henry who gave an excellent talk on the work the 2 hotels are doing to protect the marine environment including coral regeneration. The Spa was a lovely environment and I enjoyed a wonderful massage. Special thanks to Moosa for keeping our room spotless, to Sujina for her warm smile and excellent service in the restaurant, along with Adam and all the other staff. Dinner at the water's edge is not to be missed. Thanks to all the barception staff especially Elena who helped magnificently with all manner of queries. We enjoyed yoya with Dr Sharma and the well-equipped gym with fantastic views. The dolphin watching trip was a highlight with drinks and canapes too. Snorkelling on the house reef was calm and easy, very accessible for all and we saw turtles as well as small sharks and fish in many colours and sizes. We would go to Dhawa again without hesitation but probably in the winter when it is likely that there will be more scuba divers around. Thank you to all staff for a wonderful time !

Our 10th wedding anniversary trip to Dhawa Ihuru by Banyan Tree in Sep. 2024 was a dream come true. An idyllic escape where the moment we set foot on the island, the fatigue from over 20 hours of travel vanished, replaced by the breathtaking azure skies, fluffy clouds, and pristine white sands. This island's tranquility and refinement were mirrored in the resort's understated luxury, offering a diverse and inclusive culinary experience that catered to all dietary preferences. The staff, including the attentive Yulia and Elena who provided service in Chinese, were professional and welcoming, ensuring every detail was meticulously taken care of, from the hypoallergenic meals clearly labeled for non-English speakers to the daily maintenance of our living and viewing areas, which felt like a slice of paradise. The range of activities offered, complete with necessary equipment, made each day a new adventure, whether it was dolphin watching, night fishing, or sunset cruises that became a part of our dreams. However, one minor regret was the unpleasant odor emanating from the bathtub's water inlet, which could have been addressed for a more perfect stay. Despite this, the expansive sunrise-facing beach was just a short step away from the snorkeling area, where we were fortunate to swim with turtles and observe white-tip and black-tip reef sharks from a safe distance. The sunsets were a spectacle, their warm hues painting the sky whether they dipped into the clouds or kissed the water's surface. The sister island, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, offered even more surprises and facilities, making us eager to plan our next Maldives adventure. 完美周年假期。登岛的一刻，甚至忘记旅途劳顿，自然美景和贴心服务简直完美。沙屋适合喜欢安静的我们，2分钟抵达浮潜区简直无敌。幸运地看到玳瑁、海豚和可爱的海洋生物，没有海草，只有分段的珊瑚培育生长区，与鲨鱼贴脸同游并没那么可怕。服务者专业且热情，特别是Yulia和中文服务的Elena，以及酒店经理为我们的假期保驾护航。已经在计划下次马尔代夫之旅了，期待再次相遇。God bless.

Excellent customer service especially from Nishanth, Hanane, Rohit and Sujina.Highly recommend this place. Views are amazing and the food was delicious. Extremely good service provided. We had a spa treatment done and it was very professional and good.

Third trip to the Maldives and the best so far! The island is small but beautiful with amazing wildlife and and very laid back, the villa's are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food is good and there's a good choice we had the premium package which is well worth the upgrade they're usually not! So we were able to dine in the room several times and you get other great perks, I'm not going to say it was the best accommodation we've stayed in or the best food we've ever had because we have been lucky enough to travel through Asia, Malaysia, Carribbean and the south Pacific, but it was all really good and so relaxed, like I said it's a beautiful island with great snorkeling, the biggest selling point are the staff who were some of the best we've had in 30 years of travel, the Manager who greeted us on arrival was a friendly guy who somehow remembers all the guests names and takes time out during your stay to talk with guests very rare these days! all the staff are great and work really hard to look after everyone, nothing was ever to much trouble and they were always helpful and friendly, a special thanks to Areef who looked after our room and us and to the gardener's who kept everything spotless and the waitress at lunch who always greets you a smile and answers your queries, but all the staff are amazing and really make the holiday special, looking forward coming back, see you again soon!
