Fabulous suite. Great location to a variety of destinations… the coast, Muir Woods, Sausalito, and Napa. Loved Sante food selections and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff! Wine tasting in the lobby daily was a treat. Upgrading us to a suite was fabulous. Late check out was appreciated.

Disappointed in massage

The facial was fine, the massage disappointing. I expected based the fee, an amazing massage and was unhappy with just moving around and long pauses - not worth the fee - sadly. Won’t do it again. I felt as if I was just pushed around and not massaged. And there were periods of time when I thought heat be Asleep.

My comparison base is over 20 years and three different stays. Seems that the intake staff is not trained well. We picked our way through the spa ourselves this time. Some help from the greeter but not complete. We were interested in massages, workout, and pool. We were told more than once that the SPA was unusually busy. My view is that your staff should make it feel more personal than a pro baseball event. Masseuse was great, staff not so good. Seems that training is needed everywhere.

Katelyn is the main server at the spa pool and she is exceptional! Attentive, friendly, kind and patient. Katelyn, Melissa, Babs. Sarah Eric. Eric #2, Craig, Christian, and the rest of the valet team are the main reason we come to this hotel many times each year.

I would give this place a 5 but there are no elevators to the 2nd floor (at least not in the building we were staying at. Great service, clean decent sized rooms. We had probably one of the worst 2nd floor units but because of this they had built a very private enclosed deck/patios. A small table and 2 loungers made this unit one of the most private and secluded. Great for sunbathing or being able to have a smoke/vape within the state regulations of outdoor uncovered smoking rules. Swimming pool was amazing. Bars all had great fast friendly service, grounds very well maintained.

It sounds like you were booked in a room in our historic main building, which was built in 1927 and as you mentioned, does not have an elevator! On your next visit we would be happy to move you to a room that is more easily accessible should you require, as your comfort is of utmost importance. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your room's private terrace, and that you were able to soak up the sun poolside and enjoy Water Tower Bar and 38 North. We hope to welcome you back to wine country again soon!
