Long weekend stay in the original Fairmont hotel with smaller rooms and no elevator service. If that’s not your thing, go for the various out buildings separate from the main hotel. The plus of the main hotel is the charm and easy access to the lobby area, bar, restaurant. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Turndown service included. FYI it appeared that the deluxe rooms in the separate buildings were all outside entry. Easy self park but the lot fills up at night. Did not use the spa. Seemed very expensive for what it is. A bit dated. Fitness center nothing special despite its large size. Should add more equipment. Outside grounds are very nice, fire pits and seating galore. About 10 minutes car ride to Sonoma square. I would not hesitate to return here.

We were here as a part of a business group. Our room, though not large, was very comfortable and had all the amenities. The staff in all areas of the hotel were so efficient and friendly. The breakfast staff in the restaurant was amazing. They were very busy every day yet they went out of their way to be polite and friendly. The pool areas were beautiful and the bar service was also very good. I enjoyed a facial at the spa and it was very relaxing and the esthetician did a great job. I also enjoyed the hot spring pools both indoor and outdoor and they were great! It was so peaceful and relaxing. The food we did have at the hotel was quite good and the service was always top notch. The private dinner we had the last night of our stay was really delicious. Everyone in our group felt the same. I would definitely like to come back to the Sonoma Fairmont for a longer stay!

The room was awesome. Bed and pillows were perfect. Loved the fireplace. Slept so well. Spa was amazing. Treatments amazing. Dinner was outstanding. All the food was beyond delicious. I love coming here. I always leave relaxed. I am already making plans.

Fairmont Informed us that we had the opportunity to upgrade, which we declined. When we arrived the front Desk Agent - Oliver informed us that we would be pleased to know we are staying in the same room for our entire duration instead of having to move rooms mid stay, which was what we booked.The Fairmont charged us the upgrade fee on check out and on discussion with the accounts team, they stated we knew about the charge. Yes, we knew about the charge which is why we declined it. We nowe have a battle on our hands to reclaim this overcharge from Fairmont. For this reason, we would NOT recommedn this Hotel to stay.

Great guest room, spa needs updating

The guest room was very comfortable and nicely appointed Fabulous large shower. The complimentary bottle of wine was an added bonus. The spa is quite dated and is in need of a facelift. There are high school locker rooms nicer than the locker rooms at the spa. Spa could be fabulous but it clearly missed the mark.
