Stayed for a concert in the O2 Arena. Great hotel with nice decor. Our room wasn't ready but Sully had everything covered at the bar. Great service and very pleasant!! Will definitely come back and stay again. Lots of places to eat nearby also.

It is a nice place to stay especially if you attending an event in Excel London. No need to waist time for trips. Location is very nice and close to metro. So you can easily get to the city centre. The hotel is clean, house keeping works every day. The view from the room is amazing. You can observe a river Themes. Personal friendly and happy to help. In the room there is a coffee machine and everything for ironing. It is not a high class but it really good place and value for money. Strongly advised. I would come back to this place.

I stayed here for work as I was presenting at a conference at the Excel and it was an excellent location for it, just a short walk away. The room was clean, modern and well-kept. I had a little trouble with a couple of things. When checking in and also when going to get food for dinner, there weren't staff around so it was tricky to find someone to serve me, especially at dinner when there weren't many customers around as I suppose it was quite early - I stood around a while at the counter waiting for someone to appear. I had a pizza and it was quite nice. In the morning, I went down to leave for the conference and there were men working on the front doors so the doors couldn't be used. I asked if there was another way out and they said I had to go back up to the first floor, then through the Novotel which is attached, and down their stairs and out the door. I did this, though it was confusing navigating and finding the correct stairs as even though it was explained I wasn't sure where to go. I felt like it would have been a courtesy to let people know that the doors would be out of action and where we would need to go to leave the hotel - the people seemed surprised when I asked the question, as if people wouldn't be trying to leave in the morning! There could have been notes put under people's doors, emails or text messages sent out, and so on, explaining when the work would be done and how to leave the hotel. Some hotels I've stayed at put a note under the door just to tell you about breakfast so I don't know why no effort was made here to give some warning the night before, unless it was completely unexpected that work would be being done. Apart from that, it was a nice enough stay.

Let down by the breakfast

I liked everything about this hotel until I went down to breakfast in a pokey little room that was packed with coach parties. Poor selection of food and drink set out all over the place had me going back and forth trying to find stuff. Not enough milk put out, very few cereals and tasteless toast. I wish hotels tried to do breakfast really well. It would get them more custom. I wouldn't buy an Ibis breakfast next time I'm afraid. Room was on 3rd floor and had a nice view of the Docklands. It was clean, warm a good quality bed and the window opened part way which was nice. Easy to find just a few minutes walk from Custom House DLR/Elizabeth Line. At night you can get great views of the 02 and Canary Wharf.
