Colorado
Experience all the exhilarating adventures that Colorado has to offer. We’ve equipped some of our Zipcars with park passes, giving you access to all 41 state parks, and some of the most amazing views of deep canyons and the famous Rocky Mountains. Eleven Mile State Park
Spanning 7,662 acres, Eleven Mile State Park features a huge reservoir and nearby wetlands that make it incredibly popular with boaters and fishers. Other park activities include everything from biking and birding, to camping and cross-country skiing.
Cherry Creek State Park
Explore 880 acres of natural prairie and wetlands at Cherry Creek State Park. Learn about the region through one of the interpretive nature trails, or enjoy a day of archery, fishing, paddle boarding or wildlife watching.
Eldorado Canyon State Park
Eldorado Canyon covers 885 acres and consists of the developed Inner Canyon and untouched Crescent Meadows. The park offers over 500 technical rock-climbing routes with scenic views, as well as mountain biking, boating, hot springs and much more.
Massachusetts
Experience all the natural beauty that Massachusetts has to offer. We partnered with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to equip Zipcars with park passes, including free parking. Blue Hills Reservation
The Blue Hills Reservation stretches over 7,000 acres between Quincy and Canton. The park offers 125 miles of trails to explore, open for hiking, horseback riding and camping, as well as space for kayaking, golfing and rock climbing.
Lynn Shore & Nahant Beach Reservation
The Nahant Beach Reservation is a protected coastal reservation covering 67 acres of beach and recreational areas. Enjoy a summer day of sunbathing on the beach, dipping your toes in the Atlantic, playing tennis, or out boating.
Mount Greylock State Reservation
At 3,491 feet, Mount Greylock is the highest point in Massachusetts. From its peak, you can see panoramic views stretching as far as 90 miles. The park also offers camping, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Michigan
Michigan is the only state that borders four of the five Great Lakes–Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron and Lake Erie–not to mention 11,000 other lakes. We’ve equipped some of our Detroit Zipcars with Metropark Passes to give you access to explore all 13 Metroparks–lake views from sunrise to sunset included. Lake Erie Metropark
Lake Erie Metropark covers 1,607 acres with views of Sugar Island, Grosse Ile and Celeron Island. The park offers an 18-hole regulation golf course, the “Great Wave” swimming pool, Marshlands Museum and Nature Center, nature trails and, of course, kayaking for the whole family.
Stony Creek Metropark
Stony Creek Metropark covers 4,435 scenic acres featuring the 500-acre Stony Creek Lake. It offers a nature center, disc-golf course, 18-hole regulation golf course and hiking, and is a prime fishing area with some of the best biking trails in metro Detroit. Pro tip: Zipcars with a bike icon in the amenities section have bike racks!
Kensington Metropark
Kensington Metropark offers all kinds of recreational activities throughout the year, from biking and boating to cross-country skiing and tobogganing. For some warm-weather fun, head to Kensington’s 1,200-acre Kent Lake to swim at Martindale beach, get soaked at the Splash ‘n’ Blast, or just spend the day fishing or picnicking along the water.
Ontario
Ontario is home to an assortment of easily accessible lakes, rivers and forests. We’ve partnered with Ontario Parks to equip some of our Zipcars with park passes, giving you access to over 330 parks covering over 22 million acres. Pinery Provincial Park
Pinery Provincial Park features a fresh water sand bar and sand dunes you’ll want to take your shoes off for. Its protected forest has hundreds of bird and plant species, and an extremely rare savanna of oak trees. Park activities include hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park
Bronte Creek features over 10km of multi-purpose trails, the historical Spruce Lane Farm, their Nature Centre for interactive learning and a 1.8-acre pool. Take a ziptrip to enjoy biking, camping, bird watching, fishing, disc golf, tobogganing and cross-country skiing.
Sandbanks Provincial Park
Sandbanks is the world’s largest baymouth barrier dune formation. Featuring miles of white sand beaches and dunes that run along Lake Ontario, park activities include hiking trails, picnic spots, camping, canoeing, biking, bird watching and fishing–or just soaking up some rays.
Oregon
We’ve partnered with the Oregon State Parks Foundation to equip all Zipcars in Portland with Oregon State day-use parking passes, giving you free parking at two dozen state parks. Nehalem Bay State Park
Set between the ocean and the bay, Nehalem Bay State Park sits on a four-mile-long sand spit. Just 86 miles west of Portland, the park features rolling sand dunes and awesome views from the 1.8-mile bike path.
Silver Falls State Park
Silver Falls is one of Oregon’s largest and most popular state parks. Stretching across 9,200 acres in the foothills of Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, it’s less than an hour east of Salem. Check out the famous South Falls 177-foot waterfall along the Trail of Ten Falls, or bike or hike one of the other 35+ miles of backcountry trails.
Rooster Rock State Park
Visit Rooster Rock for beautiful views of the Cascade mountains, deep blue waters of the Columbia River, and huge maple and oak trees throughout the Volkswalk trail. An activity for every season, Rooster Rock offers disc golfing, fishing and windsurfing, to name a few.
New Jersey

Island Beach State Park
Shaped by storm and tides, this narrow barrier island offers miles of sand dunes and white sandy beaches. Visit for access to summer programs, trails, and beach, bay and recreation areas.
Wharton State Forest
Visit Wharton State Forest for canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and wildlife observation. It’s also the site of Batsto Village, a former bog iron and glassmaking industrial center.
Swartswood State Park
Swartswood was New Jersey’s first state park and gives access to the State’s third largest freshwater lake. Take a ziptrip to Swartswood Lake for canoeing, kayaking, sailing, fishing, swimming or simply some R&R.
Rhode Island
Rhode Island is known for its beautiful sandy shores and seaside colonial towns. Charlestown Breachway State Beach
Charlestown Breachway State Beach, which sits along the Block Island Sound, offers panoramic beach views, wild rose bushes, and turquoise blue water. Explore the river canal running to the ocean and take advantage of one of the state’s best saltwater fishing areas.
East Beach
East State Beach is a three-mile-long seaside beach on Quonochontaug Neck that lies between the Atlantic Ocean and Ninigret, Rhode Island's largest salt pond. Bordering the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge, it’s one of the least-developed of Rhode Island's State Beaches, making it a perfect, quiet escape from the city.
Scarborough State Beach
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Narragansett sits 60 acres of Scarborough State Beach. Besides saltwater swimming and sunbathing, the beach offers picnicking, a boardwalk and striking views from the observation tower.
Washington
We’ve partnered with Washington State Parks, the Department of Natural Resources and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to equip some of our Zipcars with park passes, giving you free parking at 100+ state parks, 350+ recreation sites, nearly 2,000 miles of trails, and even more scenic natural areas. Olallie State Park
Olallie State Park is a 2,500-acre day-use park on the western slopes of the Cascade Mountains, featuring dramatic waterfalls, cliff formations and old-growth trees over 10 feet in diameter. Check out Twin Falls, Weeks Falls, Cedar Butte and Mount Washington for a day of picnicking, fishing, rock climbing and hiking.
Deception Pass
Deception Pass State Park is a 4,134-acre marine and camping park with 77,000 feet of saltwater shoreline, and 33,900 feet of freshwater shoreline on three lakes. Rugged cliffs drop to meet the turbulent waters of Deception Pass. The park is great for picture-perfect views, and seeing old-growth forests and abundant wildlife.
Squak Mountain State Park
Just outside of Issaquah sits Squak Mountain State Park, a 1,591-acre day-use park. Take a stroll through the forest past babbling creeks, mossy rocks and trees dripping with lichen. Visit the Bullitt Fireplace Trail to see the impressive remains of the 1952 Bullitt House's stone fireplace or climb up the 2,024-foot Squak Mountain and treat yourself to a scenic view of Seattle.
Wisconsin
Experience all the beautiful scenery and recreation that Wisconsin has to offer. We’ve equipped some of our Zipcars with park passes, giving you access to all 82 state forests and parks with nearly 156,000 acres of land to enjoy. Kohler-Andrae State Park
Kohler-Andrae State Park features sand dunes, miles of golden beach, Lake Michigan and tons of wildlife. It is one of the last natural preserves along Lake Michigan shore and is open for everyone to explore through hiking, biking and swimming.
Devil’s Lake State Park
Devil's Lake is the the largest and the most visited of the Wisconsin state parks. Devil's Lake offers stunning views from 500-foot quartzite bluffs overlooking the lake. This makes it a great spot for swimming at its beaches, scuba diving and hiking trails that feature the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
Governor Dodge State Park
Governor Dodge State Park is one of the state's largest parks encompassing 5,350 acres of land. This park features steep hills, bluffs and deep valleys as well as two lakes and a waterfall which make it perfect for hiking and water recreation activities.
