Coming up on Sky

The clocks have gone back and we can now officially say it’s cosy season. Which means there’s no better way to spend your evenings than curled up on the sofa with the telly on. And luckily for you, this November, Sky and NOW have a mega line-up of TV shows coming your way.

But it’s not just Sky & NOW bringing you new telly this month. Over on Netflix, Outer Banks Season 4: Part 2 drops this month and Jacques Audiard’s new movie Emilia Pérez, which took Cannes Film Festival by storm, premieres on 13 Nov. On Apple TV+, Emmy Award nominated series Bad Sisters returns for season two.

And on Sky & NOW? This month sees the arrival of the highly-anticipated Sky Original series The Day of the Jackal starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. Also landing this month is Dune: Prophecy, the prequel series to the hit movie franchise Dune, and Sky Original movie Lee.

The Day of the Jackal

This ten-part series is a fresh take on Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 classic, starring Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch and Úrsula Corberó. The series follows an unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal, who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction it its wake.

Dune: Prophecy

This brand-new series comes from the expansive universe of Dune, created by author Frank Herbe and set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides. Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.

Lee

This Sky Original movie sees Kate Winslet star as Lee Miller, one of the most important photographers of her time, as she embarks onto the front line of World War II to capture some of the most significant wartime images for British Vogue. This poignant movie follows Lee through the struggles of being a female correspondent and the emotional toll of witnessing the atrocities of war.

Matlock

Inspired by the classic TV series of the same name, Matlock sees Emmy and Academy Award winner Kathy Bates star as the titular character. The series follows the brilliant septuagenarian Madeline “Matty” Matlock, who, after achieving success in her younger years, decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanour and wily tactics to win cases. The perfect series for those who love a legal drama!

Coming November on Sky Witness and NOW

Dune: Part Two

In keeping with the Dune theme, November also sees Dune: Part Two arrive on Sky Cinema. The movie explores the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya star.

IF

Featuring an all-star cast including Ryan Reynolds, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Steve Carrell and many more, IF follows a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends – and what she does with that superpower – as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten Ifs with their kids.

US Presidential Election

In addition to all the brilliant TV shows coming this month, November also brings with it the US Presidential Election and Sky News is where you can get the full story, first. Join chief presenter Mark Austin, lead world news present Yalda Hakim and US correspondent Mark Stone in Sky News’ Washington studios, as they bring audiences the results throughout the 5th and into the 6th of November. In an international broadcast exclusive, Sky News will have the fastest and most accurate race projections that will originate from the renowned NBC News Decision Desk.
