About me
Annessa Kernberg enjoys the intersection of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Clinical Informatics. At the beginning of her career, she graduated from Stanford University and received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at Oregon Health and Science University. Subsequently, she continued her training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Washington University School of Medicine.
Medicine has always been Dr. Kernberg’s passion and she continues to train in Clinical Informatics in hopes of optimizing maternal and neonatal health with the use of technology and optimizing the delivery of healthcare services.
Her approach to patient care, in her own words:
- Holistic Assessment: Conducting thorough assessments to understand the medical, emotional, and social needs of each patient.
- Personalized Care Plans: Developing individualized care plans that consider the unique circumstances of each patient and their pregnancy.
- Education and Empowerment: Providing detailed information about conditions, treatments, and expectations to empower patients to make informed decisions about their care.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other healthcare providers, including obstetricians, neonatologists, and primary care providers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
A native of San Francisco, Dr. Kernberg currently lives with her partner, baby boy, and two cats and enjoys everything that Oregon has to offer from the food to the incredible natural beauty. She enjoys knitting, cooking, gardening and running.
