Man Up scholarships

Dr. Patrick Washington delivered some checks on Friday, Aug. 2, to a few members of the Holly Springs High School Class of 2024. The $1,000 scholarships were awarded through Washington’s Man Up Teacher Fellowship, a non-profit organization. He said the recipients “demonstrated academic excellence and the ability to move through challenges to be the best version of themselves.” Seniors chosen were also male students who were honor students and in the top 10 percent of the class. Washington said the scholarship recipients have different career aspirations, and he looks forward to following their paths to continued success. “Our support with these students is to simply let them know that we believe in them and also that we see their potential for greatness,” he said.
