I wanted to have an option to print the necessary fields in the output of kaiju2table. I generally use fasta file for taxonomy assignment and the coverage values of fasta are embedded in its header. the output of kaiju2table doesnt print the contig or read id in its output which makes it difficult to map it back to kaiju_out file.

how can i map the kaiju2table output with kaiju.out file to retrieve the contig id or is it possible to print the additional column of contig id in kaiju2table output
