Impact Holker sprained his ankle during training camp and missed the team's Week 1 win over the Panthers. After returning to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday, the rookie ramped up to a full participant Thursday, clearing the way for him to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Cowboys.

Has ankle sprain Coach Dennis Allen revealed after Sunday's 16-10 preseason loss to the 49ers that Holker sprained his ankle in pregame warmups, John Hendrix of Sports Illustrated reports.
Impact It was previously reported that Holker sustained an injury in warmups, and Allen clarified the nature of the rookie tight end's injury. Holker will try to recover in time to suit up for New Orleans' preseason finale against the Titans on Aug. 25.

Signing with New Orleans Holker is slated to sign with the Saints as an undrafted free agent, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Holker left BYU for Colorado State for his senior season and posted an impressive 64-767-6 receiving line in a pass-happy offense. Holker is a finesse, move tight end who functions best in space and not attached to the line as a blocker. He'll join a depth charted headed by Juwan Johnson, Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill in New Orleans.
