Report wrongdoing or misconduct in financial services

If you're a firm or professional with information about potential or actual wrongdoing or misconduct in an area of financial services that we regulate, you can report it to us.

In our work, we use information and intelligence from many different sources. The information that we receive from firms and individuals in the financial services industry is valuable and helps us act.

As a firm or professional, we understand that you may have information or concerns about other firms or individuals operating within financial services. This information can be reported to us.

Please note, this is not the correct way to report concerns about your current or previous employer, or if you want to remain anonymous. If you're an individual, you may need to speak to our Whistleblowing team to make sure your report is handled correctly.

Important information

  • If you're an authorised firm reporting issues at your own firm and do not require anonymity please review Sup 15 for details on how to report.
  • If you're a consumer, find out how to contact us.
  • If you share information with us, you must still fulfil any statutory legal requirements (eg under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002).
  • When reporting concerns about fraud, in addition to sharing what you know with us, you should also report to Action Fraud.
  • If your information comes from a sector where there's another regulator (eg ACCA, HMRC etc), or you're a member of a professional body with concerns about money laundering or terrorist financing, then you should contact your relevant supervisor or professional body supervisor in addition to sharing with us.
  • If your concerns relate to the supervisory conduct of a professional body supervisor, please review the contact options on our OPBAS pages.
  • Find out how to contact us if you’re an auditor or mutual firm.
