Building Division
The Building Division is responsible for the enforcement of building standards to safeguard health, life, safety, property, and public welfare of all buildings and structures within the City of Napa.

City Attorney
The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council as the chief legal advisor for the City government. The City Attorney provides legal advice, prepares legal documents for the City, and represents the City in civil litigation and administrative proceedings.

City Clerk
The City Clerk Department is the primary link between City Council, City staff, and the public. The office of the City Clerk is committed to providing maximum access to municipal government in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

City Manager
Napa’s City Manager’s Office implements policy decisions of the City Council, provides leadership and strategic direction to the city’s leadership team and organization as well as ensuring that initiatives and programs align with the City’s mission and reflect the values of our community.

Community Development
The Community Development Department (CDD) provides community planning, development review and inspection services for the residents of Napa and the development community, and facilitates the permitting process in a manner that is consistent with City, State and federal standards.

Finance Department
Finance personnel manage, control, and accurately report on the financial affairs of the City of Napa and the Housing Authority of the City of Napa (HACN).

Fire Department
Established in 1906, the Napa City Fire Department has, and continues to, proudly serve the close to 80,000 residents of the City of Napa, California.

Housing Division
The Housing Division supports and staffs the Housing Authority of the City of Napa (HACN) and provides Section 8 rental assistance to all individuals and families who are eligible and complete the application process.

As an employer, the City of Napa maintains a full time workforce of about 450 people. Employees work in a variety of City departments and divisions.
