Euro Area Statistics

A wide range of aggregate euro area statistics is published on a monthly and a quarterly basis by the European Central Bank (ECB). These data can be viewed and downloaded in the statistics section of the European Central Banks website. In addition to the euro area aggregate statistics, on the 6th December 2005 the ECB introduced new time series providing a breakdown of the national components of a range of euro area statistics.  In January 2023, climate change-related indicators for the financial sector were published by the ECB for the first time as part of their climate action plan.  These climate statistics, however, are published as experimental or analytical indicators owing to their limitations and should be used with care.  These indicators are accessible via the links below:
