International Research Cooperation
To study the multiple challenges to global food security and to develop efficient solutions is the goal of International Research Cooperation. The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) supports research cooperation and exchange with different partner countries.
This involves the research institutes of the BMEL, universities and research organizations in Germany and partner countries.
The Federal Office for Agriculture and Nutrition (BLE) is in charge of executing and administrating the projects. The focus of research support is currently in the following areas:
