With Apple Trade In, it’s easy to trade in your eligible device for credit or have it recycled for free.
Answer a few questions to get your estimated trade-in value. We’ll credit your payment method after we receive and evaluate your trade-in.
You’ll keep your trade-in device until you receive your new Apple Watch. Once your new Apple Watch ships, we’ll send a trade-in kit and email instructions on how to back up and transfer your data, and how to prep your device before you ship it back.
Once we receive your device, a team will inspect it and verify its condition. If everything checks out, your trade-in is complete. If your device doesn’t match the condition you described, you’ll receive an email with next steps.
If you paid in full and we confirm that the value of your trade-in was more than the cost of your new Apple Watch, you'll receive an Apple Gift Card by email with the remaining amount.
If your device doesn’t qualify for trade-in credit, please recycle it responsibly. You may take your device to your nearest Apple Store and we’ll accept it for free or you can take your old device to a local collection point.
** Trade‑in values will vary based on the condition, year and configuration of your eligible trade‑in device. Not all devices are eligible for credit. You must be at least the age of majority to be eligible to trade in for credit or for an Apple Gift Card. Trade‑in value may be applied towards a qualifying new device purchase or added to an Apple Gift Card. Actual value awarded is based on receipt of a qualifying device matching the description provided when the estimate was made. In‑store trade‑in requires presentation of a valid photo ID. Offer may not be available in all stores, and may vary between in‑store and online trade‑in. Desktop computer trade‑in is currently only available online and some stores may have additional requirements. Apple or its trade‑in partners reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit the quantity of any trade‑in transaction for any reason.
