We work closely with civil society to support development-friendly globalization and the successful integration of developing countries into the global economy.
Our partners within non-governmental organizations, academia, trade unions, parliamentary groups and business associations bring valuable expertise to our work, and ensure that different communities and sectors have opportunities to engage with member states.
Civil society organizations regularly share their expertise at UNCTAD events and briefings, and participate as Observers at intergovernmental meetings and quadrennial UNCTAD conferences. We consult with civil society organisations when preparing our research and analysis, and partner with civil society to implement technical assistance projects.
