- Learn How to Vote in Snohomish County
We want your voting experience to be easy and convenient. The information on this page reviews the steps to marking and returning your ballot and answers some frequently asked questions.
While the vast majority of Snohomish County voters cast their ballot by mail, Snohomish County Elections offers in-person locations for voters who need accessible voting options.
Draw a line through the entire candidate’s name or measure response. You then have the option of making another choice. Do not use white-out or erase. You can also download a replacement ballot from www.VoteWa.gov or request a replacement ballot by calling Snohomish County Elections at 425-388-3444.
If you would like to add a person’s name that is not already printed on the ballot, fill in the oval and write in the person’s name and party affiliation on the line provided.
It is not necessary to vote in every race on your ballot. Your ballot is counted even if you leave some races blank. (This is an under vote.)
Voting more than once for a question or race will cancel that vote. (This is an over vote.) The part of the ballot that is not over voted will be counted.
If your ballot becomes lost, damaged, or spoiled you can download a replacement ballot from www.VoteWa.gov or request a replacement ballot by calling Snohomish County Elections at 425-388-3444.
