Description
The Plumbing Board consists of five members. Members are appointed by the county executive and confirmed by the county council. Members will serve coterminous with the county executive.
Members will be residents of the county, whose principal place of business is located in the county. Membership of the board will include the county health officer or his designee, three master plumbers and the chief of plumbing.
Duties
A summary of their duties include:
- Adopt reasonable rules and regulations for the conduct of their duties.
- Examine applicants for a county master and journeyman certificate as defined by the County Plumbing Code.
- Hold hearings on charges of misconduct of any of the certificates if the charges are of sufficient gravity as to warrant revocation after a proper hearing.
