When I have a gantt chart with task labels that do not fit inside the task box, and enable compact displayMode to achieve the effects mentioned in bugs #1813 and #1996 the resulting chart becomes unreadable since tasks overwrite each other.

I adjusted the online editor example Gantt input to demonstrate this bad effect:

Notice that the center line has "smallthing" and "otherthing" being printed on top of each other.
