Problem

I don't know what the appropriate place is to submit this, but I found recently that the documentation website is extremely slow, to the point of being unusable. It takes upward of a minute to resolve a search, and any page seems to 'hang'. I can interrupt this in Safari (see video below), but not in Firefox.

Anyone has an idea how/why this occurs?

Can you look at the network dev panel to see which request it is stuck on?

It's script.js from views.scientific-python.org I believe.

plausible/analytics#1907 (comment) suggests that maybe we should move to async instead of defer.

Is this something we should report to scientific python? Is this something we can distribute via cloudflare to avoid the bottleneck?

I suppose; it doesn't appear slow to me now, though maybe this is region specific.
