Note:
- PHP 8.0+ compatibility was added in CakePHP 4.2+.
- PHP 8.2+ compatibility was added in CakePHP 4.4+.
As previously communicated, 4.x will:
- Receive bug fixes until September 2025.
- Receive security fixes until September 2026.
These dates are subject to extension based on community feedback and usage.

We are actively working on the next minor release of CakePHP 5, and starting development on CakePHP 6. Check out the active roadmaps below to see what the team is thinking about!
- Release bug fixes until September 10 2025 (24 months after 5.0.0).
- Release security fixes until December 10 2026 (36 months after 5.0.0).
3.x has reached end of life and it will have no new releases.
- Release bug fixes until December 15 2021 (24 months after 4.0.0).
- Release security fixes until December 15 2022 (36 months after 4.0.0).
2.x has reached end of life and it will have no new releases.
- Release bugfixes until December 15 2020 (12 months after 4.0.0).
- Release security fixes until June 15 2021 (18 months after 4.0.0).
