The tray is initialized here: "soundux-tray" is then used as the identifier https://github.com/Soundux/traypp/blob/master/tray/src/core/linux/tray.cpp#L22 |

That's weird. I tried that but it doesn't work. After some tries, I found out that changing the tray icon using the extension works with the non-flatpak version. It doesn't work only with the Flatpak version. I could try researching further, but do you have any idea why it doesn't work in the flatpak version? |

No, flatpak is containerized which may be the problem. |

You may just want to change the icon the simple way by replacing the icon file located in of these two paths: https://github.com/Soundux/Soundux/blob/master/src/ui/impl/webview/webview.cpp#L46 |

Yeah. Maybe you're right. The extension works with most of Flatpaks on my desktop, though, which bugs me. I can guess there is a way to list the active appindicators and their Indicator IDs somehow, but the search is rough. I'll just live with it, for now. |
