Comments
Created forum thread with Mockup: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25328 |
@yorikvanhavre presented a new UI in https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=36556&start=10#p313848 Testers are welcome |
May I suggest one for PieMenu?: Cheers |
@pgilfernandez nice! I've posted to @triplus on the issue I opened (triplus/PieMenu#7 (comment)), since it really should be his call. |
So none of triplus's addons will get a logo, per his perogative.
Edit: typos |
Note that it is no longer necessary to submit an icon for addition to the main FreeCAD repo: adding a package.xml metadata file with the path to the workbench's icon is sufficient for the Addon Manager to download and display your icon. See details at https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Package_Metadata |
Great. In that case I need to change this in the documentation. I just need to remember where... 😂 🤦 |
Ok, starting to compile a list of docs that need changing: |
@chennes is there an example of metadata file that you can link me to? |
There are two examples at the bottom of the wiki page about package metadata, or you can look at the Curves WB. |
A status update: as of this writing, the following Workbenches do not have icons (in some cases the icon is present and there is simply a problem with their package.xml file so the Addon Manager can't find it)
|
Will help users understand what the addon does when they browse through the list of addons. Screenshots and screencasts will be designated according to each addons metadata.txt
