History:
Azrael was the third son born to his father, a mercenary. He is the first of the union to Azrael's mother, the daughter of a wealthy merchant. As the binding of two powerful families, Azrael had many opportunities given to him since he was a chick. Once he reached adolescence, he studied magic with a private tutor. He currently works as a jeweler, a business he started after receiving a moderate loan from his grandfather. He possesses an eye for gems and a talent for metalworking aided by his unusual magic, making him an unparalleled artisan in the Saraph herd.

Azrael works with only the finest materials, venturing into the desert himself when no quality stones are available on the market. His mother's family's influence has helped bolster the value of his work. After the late Sultan Taavetti was buried wearing one of Azrael's most lavish rings, the demand has steadily increased.

Early Autumn - Azrael relies too heavily on his magic skills and must retreat from a fight once it begins to rain. [Autumn Rain].

Year 1994

Autumn-Winter - The Saraph herd chooses to ally with Locke and the Shadow Army. [Response to Deuteronomy Part II].

Year 1995

Spring - Azrael discovers a gold vein hidden deep under the desert. [The Prospector]. Around the same time, he discovers a strange egg deep inside a boulder [Spawn of the Earth] which later hatches into an earth dragon he names Hasmed [Rocks and Revelations].

Summer - The new sultan is crowned! Azrael reacts to the vicious ceremony and witnesses the exiled Daima defy the sultans and leave for Scybilline territory. [Response to The Call]

Azrael takes Hasmed out on his first expedition and his suspicions are confirmed- the little dragon can find gemstones encased inside solid rock! [The Second Test]. Ahjara approaches Azrael to create a collar for her dragon using a sentimental meteorite [The Commission]. When Azrael arrives at the Second Oasis cabaret to deliver the collar, he is enthralled by Ahjara's fire dancing routine [Flirting with Fire]. 

Azrael meets Ankhesenamun, the merchant's daughter, when the father and daughter pick up an elaborate jewelry set. Azrael is commissioned to create an extravagant piece for the merchant's wife with the rarest of jewels. [Art and Affluence].

Summer - Azariah is born! He's not Azrael's firstborn, but he is the first child that Azrael is significantly involved with. (The previous being the result of a short-lived fling ).
