Why does my website on Mac return 404 error message

It doesn't seem to anything more than an annoyance, but I want to be rid of it. The URL "updates-macos.com" only returns a 404-file not found message. Anyone?

That’s spam.

You were offered notifications somewhere along the path, accepted those, and now no longer wish those notifications.

Here is how to remove those notifications, and how to block future requests to send those notifications:

The reply was quick and right on. The title change for my query was misleading though. Notification spam would be better. Thanks.

🤷

A chunk of the titles selected around here are variations of “help!”, “doesn’t work!”, “hacked!”, “**URGENT!**” or whatnot, or those understandably confused by the wonderful ambiguities of English grammar including the word “title”.

Which means titles not all that useful for those searching for previous reports of similar issues, nor for those that might reply to questions in their respective areas of expertise.

So the Apple moderators try to pick better titles.

The Apple moderators certainly didn’t get the gist of this particular question, though.
