Bluetooth mouse not connecting after update to ventura 13.6

I see this problem on the boards over and over but never a solution. The mouse was there while on Big Sur, I updated, and now no matterwhat I do, even if it shows the mouse on my Bluetooth panel, it just stays in "Connecting" mode and never actually connects. I have reset the mouse, restarted, toggled the switches....is there any solution?
