Purchase date and activation date

I bought my iPhone 14 pro, the Middle East version, on 16/4/2023, while it shows the purchase date is September 2022 when I call for a help from Apple support. Also, the extended 2 year warrantyuu end by 15/9/2024. My question is: Did I bought new iPhone OR used one, despite my mobile serial started with M, as they may fake the box to look new.

You might have bought it "new", but the third party retailer - someone other than Apple - bought it in Sep 2022. Apple starts the warranty when it is shipped to the first purchaser so it sat on their shelves for a while. If it was an authorized reseller, you could have brought that to Apple's attention when you bought it, but I don't know if they will allow that months later. You can ask them and if you have the receipt with a serial number on it and the correct purchase date, they may change the date.

By the way, the activation date has nothing to do with anything; you can buy a device today and keep it on a shelf for a year. Your warranty will have run out when you finally "activate" it.
