Bluetooth connection issues Oticon hearing aids
i recently upgraded my iPhone to iOS 16.4 and my Oticon hearing aids won’t stay connected to my phone. I went to my audiologist and had my hearing aid firmware updated so it’s not that.

My mom is getting very upset trying to use her new Oticon hearing aids. Like the rest of the people who have posted, one hearing aid is not connecting correctly. She is older and not use to technology. The Bluetooth is supposed make things easier. However if you have to reset daily the connection it is not. Apple & Oticon need to fix this problem. It is March 2024, when older model were working fine for other people what did the company mess around with the program. Seniors are not tech savvy. Her kids just wanted mom to hear better not be upset. I am asking the parties involved to do the right thing. Correct this software issue. Words from concerned daughter.

The more Apple knows about the extent of the issue, the more likely we will see any needful changes.
Hi Peter,
Wondering if Oticon may have a new firmware update for the hearing aids ...
you might want to check with your hearing specialist.
All the best :-)
Ha ok exactly left aid was going out phone was in right pocket !! Wow that’s awful . I’m still in trial period I wonder if other companies like Phonak have the same issue
Wow . Exactly . Same here . Very disappointed. It’s week one with new Oticon . They may go back .
Thank you for your reply, I am getting replacement aids, I will let you know how I get on when they arrive.

Great that you will keep us informed ... seems others may benefit from knowing too.
Cheers :-)
Wish I knew another product to use. Because I would have sent mine back and gotten something new. But I haven't found another hearing aid product that fewer connectivity issues.
I may get my old Oticon fixed . Bluetooth just unacceptable with new ones . I hear Phonak uses different Bluetooth technology anybody try them ?
If you find a company that connects better with Bluetooth, please let us know.
I have to turn off/on my iphone to get my oticons to connect to the companion app. Is it Apple? Oticon?
Done all the above still doesn’t work. Disgusting
I had to delete them amd then open accessiblilty. Pair hearing aid. Go to setting. Accessibility then hearing aid
I found out recently that if I am having trouble connecting my hearing aids to my iPhone, I need to turn off all other devices that I have set up to work with my hearing aids. iPad, MAC, etc.
My Oticon hearing aids will not let the Bluetooth pairing complete. As soon as they connected a bell tone plays and they disconnect.
My oticon hearing aides are no longer in my device list and I cannot connect Bluetooth phone to hearing aides
