vCenter 8 Enhanced Linked Mode

- [Rick] In this video, we'll learn about vCenter 8, and how we can use enhanced linked mode to allow multiple vCenter instances to be associated with each other. Okay, so vCenter is giving us our management interface. It's the vSphere Client, it's our inventory service, it's got Update Manager built right into it. Now what we also have is something called the Platform Services Controller. And things are changing as vSphere evolves, right? So the Platform Services Controller was introduced as sort of this separate entity that could be shared by many vCenter instances. So for example, here we are at docs.vmware.com. And you can see here highlighted, some of the services that the Platform Services Controller provides, like licensing, certificate management, authentication with single sign-on. So think about those features. If I have multiple vCenter servers, wouldn't it be nice if I could have one single sign-on domain where I authenticate to one vCenter server, I'm automatically logged…
