Customize the dock

- [Instructor] This video is all about customizing the Dock, the row at the bottom of the screen with the shortcuts to launch applications. Now, our main focus is setting up the Dock, so it has shortcuts to the applications you use most often. First, to remove an icon that you don't want in the Dock, all you need to do is right click on that icon, go to Options and choose Remove from Dock. Now, that does not remove the application from your computer. It just removes the shortcut from the Dock. So you can go ahead and remove any of the icons that you do not want to have in the Dock. Now, you can also change the order of the icons. Just click and hold on one and drag it left or right to change the order. Next, you should add shortcuts to any other applications that you do want permanently in the Dock. And there are a few ways to do that. You could start by launching the application that you want.
