Excel Slicers: Insert, format, select

- [Instructor] We've got all of this data about members and courses and what we want to do with this dataset. We want a way to easily filter it and we want to use slicers. So please insert a slicer for the course ID and then format the slicer to show a three-by-three grid as you see an image. We do not want a long single stack. And then, in the slicer, select only the Excel courses. Got it? Pause the video, work it out, and then come on back. (upbeat music) Here we go. In order for a slicer to work, we have to put the data in a table. Format as table. What color should we go with? Let's go with this. Alright, table does have headers, yes, it does. Alright, get rid of those filter buttons, golly. Now we can insert slicer. What do we want? Course ID. OK. There it is and it's in that long stack. Let's go up to columns. It's on one, two, three. That's what we want it. Spread it out a bit. And then…
