RTW/Lifestyle collection seeking a Head of Ecommerce and Digital Marketing

Role Overview

The Head of E-Commerce and Digital Marketing will manage and direct the e-commerce division to drive and achieve revenue, margin, and profitability goals. With responsibility for the full financial performance of the e-commerce division, the successful candidate will optimize all commercial, marketing, and operational functionalities to achieve strong, sustainable, and profitable growth.

Working closely with both internal cross functional team members and external marketing partners, you will drive the day-to-day performance of all e-commerce marketing channels, inclusive of digital, experiential, and traditional print media.

This position will be responsible for enhancing the website with the most advanced tools in visual, customer journey, and data mining technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set aggressive, achievable yearly, monthly, and daily revenue goals
  • Develop the Budget and quantify performance & ROI
  • Manage the inventory, providing purchase plan guidance and sell-thru targets
  • Improve the gross margin through developing a successful full-price strategy
  • Manage all site applications & customer service
  • Identify, test, and implement new technologies to drive sales and reduce customer friction
  • Set and execute strategic marketing objectives for each season
  • Develop seasonal marketing campaigns that support the brand objectives, highlight new product launches and raise awareness of the brand.
  • Articulate the brand voice in a consistent manner throughout all campaign work
  • Ensure best practice content and copy relevant to each digital channel
  • Optimize email deployment and all other forms of customer outreach
  • Manage and guide the company’s digital marketing agency to achieve revenue, gross margin, and ROAS objectives
  • Develop customer acquisition and retention strategies
  • Build the funnel, audiences, and relevant media to bridge the gap between driving a first-time visit, first purchase, repeat purchase and lifetime value.
  • Manage CRM and building of intelligent systems that will enhance customer knowledge and growth
  • Lead retention, promotion and CRM strategies to drive higher lifetime value, improve customer return rate and cross-sell all product categories
  • Manage affiliate marketing strategy and oversee execution
  • Implement retargeting and leverage email segments to develop lookalike audiences across multiple paid channels.
  • Develop monthly digital performance reports based on specific KPI's
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain paid social and native advertising campaigns, including coordination of assets between agencies and internal teams and budget management
  • Translate performance marketing information into new ideas, consumer insights, and innovation possibilities.
  • Report on channel strategy performance against KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Improve packaging and packing guidelines
  • Assess and improve all communication touchpoints with customer, from browsing to order delivery to post-purchase
  • Manage home page and subpage layouts, navigations, and site exploration to optimize the customer experience
  • Identify and recommend innovative software products to increase traffic and conversion
  • Continuously implement and test new marketing channels to drive more efficient ad spend
  • Perform detailed market research and continually look at competitive environments
  • Conduct ongoing insights and stay on top of trends to make recommendations for merchandising, packaging
  • Mine existing data and behaviors to identify new tactics to test
  • Regularly educate the organization on digital trends that are pertinent to the business, such as algorithm changes, mobile update implications, creative best practices, and competitor campaigns,

Skills, Qualities & Behaviours

  • Versatile in building and adapting technologies
  • Strategic and hands-on, with “connect the dots” mentality and understanding of matrix management
  • Proficient in managing paid media budgets in partnership with agencies, preferably for an omni channel DTC company
  • Proficient in web analytics and visualization tools
  • 7+ years and a proven track record of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability of brand building, ideally in contemporary fashion apparel.
  • Resourceful with attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to think critically, manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency;
  • Professional, trustworthy, and approachable personality
