Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating the overall performance and quality metrics of Ambulatory & Post-Acute Services at Orlando Health. The Director will work closely with service line leaders, executives, and Orlando Health’s quality team to align with Orlando Health’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of patient care.

Participates on committees related to quality and patient safety throughout Ambulatory & Post-Acute as well as for Orlando Health.
Knowledge of risk management concepts and regulatory bodies.
Actively invests in their own personal growth and must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care
appropriate to patient population.
Delivers key verbal and written quality messages effectively.
Actively participates on corporate committees, task forces and community committees.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or master’s degree in healthcare management.
Licensure/Certification
Maintain current Florida licensure if degree is held in a clinical discipline.
Experience
Three (3) years of direct quality strategy experience in healthcare or a similar role, OR
Five (5) years of professional work in a hospital or ambulatory site working directly with quality analysis and safety.

Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Ambulatory & Post-Acute leadership to develop and implement service line specific quality goals, standards, and metrics in alignment with Orlando Health.
- Works with the leadership team to develop a culture and patient care environment that embraces quality and patient safety in compliance with the requirements of the various regulatory agencies.
- Educates and communicates to all Ambulatory & Post-Acute leaders and staff on quality initiatives and direction.
- Provides ongoing support and expertise in quality management reporting and action plan design.
- Collaborates with peers across Orlando Health to assure their understanding of the PI process and to assure reporting of appropriate quality indicators based on the organization’s focus.
- Implements a performance improvement program that leads to positive, measurable organizational outcomes based on organizational and service line performance improvement initiatives.
- Acts as a liaison between leadership, joint ventures, team members, and Orlando Health Quality Team with timely communication of pertinent information to improve patient care and service on an ongoing manner.
- Utilize the EHR effectively to create quality dashboards for Ambulatory & Post-Acute at varying sites.
- Embraces, communicates, and promotes effective change.
- Conducts review for appropriate utilization of services.
- Ensures that necessary data is collected and reviewed in a timely manner and disseminates progress reports, making recommendations for future improvements based on the data.
- Researches and designs appropriate performance improvement education and training to support the goal of providing quality care and service excellence to our patients.
- Organizes and leads workgroups to achieve success with Ambulatory & Post-Acute quality metrics.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of new technologies and procedures that support or enhance quality and patient safety activities.
- Assists in leading Ambulatory & Post-Acute Quality committees and all its activities
- Assure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and agencies
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
