We're on the hunt for a remote accounting manager to join our team! If you're ready to dive into a position at an award-winning company and showcase your accounting skills, then keep reading because this opportunity could be your ticket to financial greatness.

In this role, you will support our team in achieving their goals through providing solid & reliable accounting practices and assisting the finance team in creating and presenting in-depth analysis to management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of accounting department
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reports for management review
• Work with other finance team members to create budgets and forecasts
• Manage the general ledger and ensure proper coding of transactions
• Collaborate with team members in the creation and presentation of reports for management and external stakeholders
• Assist in treasury activities such as cash reconciliations and daily activity reporting
• Communicate results of analysis effectively with management and business partners.
• Provide training and support on accessing and interpreting reports and analytics.
• Generate ad hoc analyses to support decision-making and operational improvements
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in reporting and analytics.
• Work closely with IT to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics). CPA preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles is required.
• Background in P&C insurance accounting is required. Experience with statutory accounting is advantageous.
• Private Passenger Auto Insurance Experience desired, but not required if analytic skills outweigh PPA experience.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Ability to work in a virtual team environment with strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and accuracy.

Benefits:

• Salary Range: $100K-$120K (full-time).
• This position is 100% remote, but you must live in the United States. Travel is expected to be <5%. Preference given to individuals who can work typical EST hours.
