Retail Regional Manager - West Coast


Job Summary: As part of our Retail Team, the Regional Manager is responsible for developing extraordinary Store Managers, creating great customer experiences and impacting growth across Longchamp Boutiques through outstanding service. The ideal candidate is committed to client service, demonstrating a strong understanding and passion for luxury goods and fashion. You will oversee retail store operations of a given district/region to maximize sales and profitability, define strategies to drive retail store sales, manage leaders in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and develop diverse teams that know their markets, communities and customers.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspire the Retail team with a positive and entrepreneurial attitude and enthusiasm.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry. Understand forthcoming customer initiatives and monitor what local competitors are doing; initiate changes to improve the business when needed.
  • Manage the daily Retail operations. Plan and implement all Retail activities to maximize sales.
  • Achieve the company targets in areas of net sales, budget, cost, stock and personnel.
  • Responsible for sales, business planning, product presentation, VM, stock control, sales service, POS operations, POS promotions/marketing, operational marketing, POS upkeep and team motivation.
  • Development of individual and POS retail skills base, which includes understanding of POS system, reporting.
  • Ensure all teams have clear measurable goals & objectives (KPIs).
  • Monitor store schedules and ensure it is made in line with business needs
  • Ensure weekly reports are duly completed by stores. In addition, for concessions specifically, monitor reconciliation report to track performance.
  • Ensure Clienteling (CRM) becomes a key focus in each store, driving client opt-in, clienteling conversion and customer retention.
  • Ensure all trainings are documented, time lined and followed-up.
  • Promote Train the Trainer culture within area.
  • Action yearly Manager performance reviews.
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees in collaboration with HR, Retail Director and Retail Trainer.
  • Complete new hire paperwork, orientation, and collaborate with HR.
  • Ensure adherence to company E-Training programs.
  • Compile competitor information upon request.
  • Challenge all costs and ensure “own money” mentality is present within all POS.
  • Implementation of travel plan in liaison with Retail Director.
  • Adhoc duties defined by the Retail Director.


Minimum Requirements:

  • BA degree in business or a related degree or equivalent work experience & education.
  • 5+ years of luxury retail experience managing multi-site stores, departments or units, P&L, inventory, operations and customer service.
  • 5+ years of management experience leading at least a team of 6 or more, including training and coaching, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer service-oriented role desired.
  • Experience in a multi-unit environment, knowledge of retail or hospitality industry operations and financial reporting.
  • Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Legal documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the country in which you apply.
  • Ability to work full time (the work regularly demands in excess of 40 hours per week) including variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/ or holidays.
  • Experienced in coaching, employee engagement, leadership and soft skills training.

  • Understand the Longchamp brand and have true passion for the clients and product assortment.
  • Be a team player who values a collaborative environment.
  • Possess a “client first” service mentality.
  • Have strong sales and client experience, particularly in the luxury market.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and ability to interpret data.
  • Can demonstrate proven success in meeting sales goals and achieving KPI’s.
  • Have a strong sense of integrity and an ability to lead by example.
  • Extensive knowledge of retail and the operational processes.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues and the ability to collaborate when necessary.


Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
