Family Attorney

Our Wilmington, North Carolina Office is seeking a family law attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence.

Jobseekers should be equally familiar with separation agreements, child custody and support, spousal support, prenuptial agreements, divorce, and domestic violence.

Compensation

$95,000+

Responsibilities

• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
• Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
• Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
• Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
  
  

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
• Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
• 5-10 years of family law experience preferred
