Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Sr. Director engages and partners with Patient Services business leaders, Eversana business leaders and Clients to understand business priorities and needs, and then translates them into industry leading technology solutions. The Sr. Director is responsible for the end-to-end process from engaging with business leaders to the implementation, operation, measurement, and continuous improvement of technology solutions and services. This customer facing role involves managing teams a diverse team that is responsible for creative technical design and solutioning, build, release management, support, vendor management, developing roadmaps, establishing best practices, and assessing new and innovative technologies and company product offerings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivery Accountability: Overall delivery accountability for assigned client program launches and capability development in Integration and CRM systems.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee multiple delivery teams responsible identifying solutions, creating high- level and low-level technical designs, developing and supporting technology solutions and aligning all solutioning to Enterprise Architecture requirements. Work with all team members on development, advancement, and growth initiatives and keep the team appropriately challenged so to be continuous learners and innovators. This role will have end to end IT delivery ownership (projects, enhancements, operations, support) of PS CRM Solutions, (Legacy Platforms, Content Management, Threat Detection Platform).
  • RFP Management / Pipeline Estimation: Work with the team at large to develop IT estimations for RFPs and client enhancements. Participate in the development of content and answers for RFPs. Participate in and present content for prospective client pitches.
  • Business Relationship Management: Establish trusted relationships with key stakeholders within PS IT team as well as with PS Ops Team, Client IT counterparts, and Eversana leaders at large. Shape demand and requirements according to Life Science industry needs and challenge where appropriate.
  • Strategy and Thought Leadership: Establish technology solutions that deliver industry leading business outcomes. Maintain technology roadmaps that align with business capability needs. Develop business cases for large technology initiatives; evaluate and qualify opportunities.
  • Establish and Lead Governance: Participate in technology governance processes, working with cross functional stakeholders to gain alignment. Drive prioritization of the backlog; shape and manage demand. Coordinate closely with PS Program Management Office, EPMO, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Shared Services.
  • Financial Management and Oversight: Lead the development of departmental budgets resources and periodic forecasts and re-plans. Own and maintain the IT budget for assigned area, including resources investments and expenses for assigned projects, platforms and services.
  • Subject Matter Expert and Innovation Leader: Serve as the SME for assigned area throughout Patient Services. Maintain awareness of industry trends. Identify opportunities for business process and technology improvements and value creation.
  • Vendor Management: Manage and negotiate with vendors based on budget available. Perform administration of Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and Invoice Approvals as well as establish appropriate renewals and contracts, working with Eversana Procurement. Hold vendors accountable for deliverables within budget.

  • Responsible for and oversee their respective department.
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
  • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

EXPECTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Hours (40 Hours per week)

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Education (i.e. degree required) – Bachelor’s degree. Degree in computer science, marketing, business administration or related discipline is preferred
  • Experience and/or Training (i.e. the kind of skills and knowledge and number of years required)
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience working with Salesforce.com
    • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud and Mulesoft
    • Experience managing vendors for projects and service delivery
    • Experience managing people in challenging software delivery environments
    • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
    • Must understand systems development lifecycle deployment methodologies including Agile.
    • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the technical teams.
    • Must have proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) at advanced level.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Licenses/Certificates (e.g. trade certificates, driver’s licenses, professional certifications, etc. required)
  • Technology/Equipment (if applicable, the proficiencies required to perform the job)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education (i.e. degree required) – Bachelors + 15 years experience, MBA preferred
  • Experience and/or Training - Lean Sigma Certification and PMP preferred
  • Licenses/Certificates (e.g. trade certificates, driver’s licenses, professional certifications, etc. required)
  • Technology/Equipment (if applicable, the proficiencies required to perform the job)

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
