Serve Denton and Serve Lewisville are currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for a Property Director position to office at the Denton, TX location. Serve Denton and Serve Lewisville are community-based 501(c)3 nonprofits that partner with nonprofits and the community to help make their services more accessible for people in need. The position will be responsible for our 5-acre campus in Denton, Texas, and a second campus in Lewisville, Texas. The Centers support nonprofits that provide high-quality, wrap-around health and human services in their respective communities with property development, management, and support services so the nonprofits can focus on their mission.


Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with other team members, this position plays a full-time role in the full spectrum of property management. These responsibilities include addressing customer needs or requests, performing repairs, developing and implementing maintenance plans, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, overseeing and carrying out inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. To support the missions of both Serve Denton and Serve Lewisville and help them achieve their strategic goals, this position requires travel to our Lewisville affiliate location as needed.


Primary Responsibilities

1.     Directs property management programs and projects to provide a quality facility for nonprofit partner and member organizations.

2.     Lead in identifying and satisfying tenants' needs, researching and coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and making significant decisions to deliver high-quality offices and mission-related spaces.

3.     Develop and implement maintenance master plans to improve customer satisfaction.

4.     Perform Level 2 repairs in response to customer requests.

5.     Oversee and carry out routine inspections to ensure the property meets established standards.

6.     Negotiate, monitor, and enforce contract terms with external maintenance vendors, suppliers, and trade partners to meet Serve Denton's and Serve Lewisville's standards.

7.     Use Monday.com to accurately manage customer requests and improvement projects to collect performance data.

8.     Plan the property budget to ensure maintenance plans are executable and manage property expenditures within the approved budget to ensure expenses are under control.

9.     Ensure Serve Denton and Serve Lewisville follow applicable safety and building codes.


Desired Qualifications

  • High School graduate. Associate's degree preferred.
  • Ten years of property maintenance and management experience.
  • Naturally proactive, organized, pragmatic, and collaborative team style of working with others.

·        Able to communicate in a poised, well-spoken, professional manner and convey a positive image and attitude regarding Serve Denton and Serve Lewisville.

·        Ability to support a positive office culture and work as a team with existing staff.

·        Able to excel in a fast-paced and collaborative office environment.

·        Able to demonstrate initiative and work as a team member to create a culture of growth.

·        Able to manage multiple priorities concurrently to meet deadlines.

·        Able to translate broad goals into achievable steps.

·        Able to develop and maintain smooth and constructive relationships with tenants.

·        Able to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of management, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.

  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 365 at a basic level.
  • Must fully embrace the mission of Serve Denton and Serve Lewisville.
  • Must pass a background check.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation: Starting salary $31,200 annually based on experience.
  • $400 monthly insurance stipend.
  • Benefits: up to 15 days accrued PTO and 12 holidays annually.
