Company Overview: Our client is a boutique real estate investment fund based in Miami, FL, experiencing significant growth. We specialize in identifying, acquiring, and managing high-quality real estate assets. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Finance to join the team and drive financial strategy as we expand our portfolio.

Job Summary: The VP of Finance will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the fund. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, extensive experience in fund accounting, and a proven track record of leadership. A background in Big 4 accounting firms and a CPA designation are highly preferred. The VP will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management, ensuring the financial health and growth of the fund.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the real estate fund, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the fund's growth and investment goals.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and investors.
• Manage the fund's financial planning and analysis processes, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
• Oversee the preparation of audited financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the fund's assets.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements to ensure the fund's financial stability.
• Provide strategic financial guidance on investment opportunities, risk management, and portfolio performance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fund accounting and financial management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on fund accounting.
• Prior experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, with strong team management and mentoring skills.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in the real estate investment industry is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
• Experience with real estate investment funds and portfolio management.
