GROUP DESCRIPTION

Part of Jefferies’ 90-person Private Capital Group within the Investment Banking Division, the Jefferies Private Fund Group (“PFG”) is a leading placement agent and alternative investment advisor. The PFG raises capital from investors worldwide, including public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, banks, insurance companies, fund of funds, consultants and high-net-worth individuals and families. The 25-person PFG team operates through dedicated, on-the-ground resources in New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The PFG advises on all closed-ended strategies / fund types including:

  • Mezzanine
  • First-Time Funds
  • Secondary Funds
  • Infrastructure
  • Energy & Natural Resources

Our professionals provide high-touch advisory and execution services across all aspects of the fundraising process, playing an essential role in analyzing the competitive landscape, drafting compelling marketing materials, advising on fundraise strategy, investor outreach, co-investments and fund closings.


THE ROLE

Analyst responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing advice to private equity and similar clients on fundraising strategy, structuring, timing, investor targeting and terms of offering
  • Articulating complex marketing messages in a variety of mediums (written, verbally, in slide presentations, etc.)
  • Preparing compelling fundraising offering and marketing materials, and related financial analyses
  • Planning and administrating the investor due diligence process, including drafting responses to investor diligence questions and managing online data rooms
  • Communicating with senior advisory and distribution team members around the world to track fundraising processes
  • Completing a variety of analysis – economic, industry, competitive, etc. – necessary to execute fundraising processes

Successful Jefferies PFG Analysts are able to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and client management skills together with strong emotional intelligence, communication ability and analytical skills. The work is fast paced, challenging and intellectually stimulating. The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate.


DESIRED EXPERIENCE SKILLS:

  • ~1 year of related experience
  • Four-year degree from a leading college/university, with a distinguished academic background
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong financial, strategic and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
