The Role
Do you have experience in SaaS software development within the battery ESS or renewable energy sector? Are you skilled in leading R&D teams, overseeing fleetwide real-time asset monitoring, and managing large-scale IoT data?
At Element Energy, a dynamic startup changing the landscape of energy storage and battery management, we're seeking an experienced Director (or Senior Director) of SaaS Engineering and IoT Battery Solutions. Join a leading engineering and technology team dedicated to the innovation of commercial web/app-based SaaS services, harmoniously integrated with our avant-garde ESS architecture and BMS.
This leadership role involves oversight of SaaS platforms catering to a vast IoT fleet of Lithium-ion batteries steered by our Adaptive BMS (ABMS). Be a central figure in the development of Cloud-centric software, creation of customer-centric SaaS features, and liaise with diverse tech teams, from Product Managers to AI software engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Spearhead the software development for SaaS scenarios, services, and features in sync with ABMS products.
Innovate and design features for commercial SaaS aimed at predictive/prescriptive O&M.
Oversee fleet-wide, real-time ESS asset monitoring and control.
Develop web/app platforms for ESS asset metrics, visualisation and automated O&M feedback.
Implement autonomous systems for feedback and control of ESS assets.
Lead the development of AI-centric software functionalities in tandem with MLOps.
Manage vast IOT data influxes, ensuring seamless adaptation in a multi-tenanted environment.
Champion R&D operations, ensuring regular evaluations and cross-functional collaborations.
Provide swift solutions to software & system-related issues.

The Person
10+ years in battery ESS/renewable energy SaaS software development.
Adept at building commercial cloud-based services for extensive IoT data/fleets.
Expertise in front-end stack of Cloud/web services.
Proven track record of operating high RAM-scored clouds.
Collaborative experience with AI-driven software products.
Proficiency in customer feedback and user experience management.
Master's or higher in Computer Science/Software Engineering.
Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
