Broadcast Content Creator
The KO-MAR Productions Broadcast Content Creator has a passion for creative storytelling, enhancing production designs, and the technical knowledge to produce visually interesting high-end content with efficiency and discipline. They are responsible for recommending, equipping, and executing the creative and technical aspects of each production, and to successfully accomplish the project “vision” in collaboration with the KO-MAR leadership team and KO-MAR’s clients and partners.

Responsibilities:
● Be aware of and support KO-MAR Productions’ strategic, creative, financial, and cultural goals and maintain KO-MAR’s standards and guidelines for personal behavior, safety, privacy, and presentation.
● Assist the company leadership in developing video content for all platforms in collaboration with the creative team.
● Responsible for shooting and editing short-form, long-form, branded, and editorial video content for distribution, including but not limited to local, regional and national broadcasts, internal, web and social media platforms.
● Work directly on and off set with KO-MAR’s Creative Team, as well as working independently with KO-MAR clients.
● Be heavily hands on in both the studio and control room.
● Manage short deadlines on post production and/or media requests to satisfy KO-MAR or client video needs.
● Ideate creative videos and execute inspirational briefs, storyboards, and strategies for generating everything from stand-alone web content to National Broadcasts.
● Manage, organize and execute all technical aspects of studio, remote or on-location productions including video, audio, lighting, and engineering.
● Project to project, be able to work as a ‘one-man-band’ one day and then run a full crew the next.
● Manage our established workflow and communication with active team members across the U.S.
● Manage, catalog, and maintain all KO-MAR equipment for condition, safety, and performance. Keep equipment in working order, recommend equipment for repair and advise on equipment purchasing needs.
Qualifications:
● BA/BFA in Filmmaking, Radio/TV/Film production, Broadcast/Journalism, or relevant work experience.
● 2+ years of hands-on technical experience creating, shooting, and editing short and long-form video content, sports experience a bonus.
● A passion for storytelling, engaging audiences, and generating creative ideas to support a fast paced, diverse body of content development and growth.
● A history of working on successful projects as an individual as well part of a team.
● Required: Strong knowledge of Video Production equipment, best practices, uses and procedures, both in the studio and on location.
● Required: Hands-on experience running studio and field camera platforms, audio and lighting equipment, including Arri, Blackmagic and Sony as well as lenses and various accessories.
● Required: Working knowledge of non-linear editing and graphics creation, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Photoshop.
● Encouraged: Experience with DaVinci Resolve.
● Live production experience and proficiency in various streaming technologies.
● Knowledge of studio control room jobs and procedures.
● Studio lighting design, DMX control and programming.
● Preferred: Asset management and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Excel or other database programs to help track equipment and media on a day-to-day basis.
● Ability to travel. Required for projects produced on a global scale.
● A desire to learn more each day than you knew the day before.
