POSITION: CFO. The position will be responsible for leading the company through the initial investment stage and then moving quickly to project financing and successful rounds. We have a commitment for initial funds and LOIs for customer and project financing. The CFO will be responsible for assisting in bringing those commitments home and hiring a team to manage internal and external accounting to deliver high quality reporting and forecasting.


LOCATION: Candidates can live anywhere within the United States.


COMPANY: Renewable energy focused storage, the first cost effective solution, product will be sold into packages that we construct, packages that are pre-purchased by investing customers.


CULTURE: The culture is mission driven, collaborative, entrepreneurial, friendly, supportive, and close knit. Focus is on speed of execution in achieving a critical mission, faced paced starting in “commando” mode, taking ground before others can even see us coming.


COMPENSATION: This is a key hire. Comp package will include base, bonus, equity and full benefits package. The new CFO will be in charge of implementing attractive and competitive remunerations for other key executives. 


MANAGEMENT STYLE: The position reports to Founder/CEO. The founder is ex-CIA, founder of multiple companies. Philosophy is to hire good people, support them well and then get the hell out of their way.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must be comfortable and strong in dealing with financing at high levels, first working in the venture capital arena and/or with private equity firms and thereafter in dealing with construction loans, investment commitments and getting funds in place quickly. International experience preferred. We have some political connections and are anticipating substantial subsidies from a friendly State, but patience, tenacity and strong interpersonal skills will be required to bring that home in the timeframe we will need it.


Our advisory team can provide warm introductions at every level, but the ideal candidate should have a network of his own must be able to exude the confidence and competence to close deals. 


Must be able to work with sales and ops teams very closely to build financial models by revenue stream and region.


Experience with "tuck-in" acquisitions would be a bonus.


Prefer someone who enjoys the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small company, but has been through the experience of scaling up an enterprise to a significant organization size and revenues. Ideal candidates will have gone through the high growth and scalability issues of a startup or high growth stage company.


Must be hands-on, and able to roll up their sleeves and do the work while managing a small in-house team and an outsourced team. Need someone who is very strategic, analytical, collaborative, energized and an optimistic problem solver. Need someone that knows how to work smart and figure things out. Need someone who loves to brainstorm with the founders and has great communication skills.
