$180,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

To be successful in the role as the Director of Engineering, you should possess excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team to develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Oversee the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research And Development, Quality, and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to achieve operational excellence
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage capital projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other relevant guidelines
  • Mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced degree, preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial engineering principles
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
